Next Level edges Uniontown White, 57-54, in overtime
Next Level pulled out a 57-54 victory over Uniontown White in overtime on Wednesday night in the Bill G’s High School Division of the Grant Street Basketball League.
Uniontown Maroon edged Basketball by Mitch out of Morgantown, 52-50, as Morgantown missed a last-second opportunity in another high school division game.
John Smith’s Fayette’s Finest was too much for Team Kush, 90-30, and Uniontown White downed The Park, 70-35, in wrap up the four games in the high school division.
Fayette’s Finest (7th/8th/9th) continued its strong play in the APEX Middle School Division with a 33-23 victory over APEX Cleaning.
Fayette’s Finest fifth and sixth graders played up against AJ’s Mountain Raiders in middle school play, but fell, 37-21. The Park (7th/8th/9th) topped Southmoreland, 40-23.
Dellarose Law built a 28-point lead, but HotRods nearly rallied back with some long-range shots before Dellarose Law closed things out with a 47-42 win in the Maitri Adult League.
The Warriors held a 15-point advantage in the first half, but The Champs rallied late in the first and took over the game to win, 60-40, in the evening’s finale.
Team Tuck edged the Elite Warriors, 15-14, in the Coldwell Banker Laurel Ridge Reality Division for elementary players. Fayette’s Finest fifth and sixth graders downed the Warriors, 42-27.
The league returns to the court Monday night at 6 p.m.
