West Greene 18, Geibel Catholic 9 – West Greene put up 12 runs in the top of the third inning Monday afternoon on its way to an 18-9 Section 2-A victory at Geibel Catholic.

The Pioneers (5-4, 5-4) led 3-0 after two innings before the 12-run explosion. The visitors added single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.

Geibel (0-10, 0-11) chipped back into the game with five runs in the bottom of the third inning. The Gators followed with two runs in both the fourth and fifth innings.

The Gators’ Isaiah Krizner doubled, singled and scored two runs. Losing pitcher Jesse Yourish doubled and drove in two runs. Enzo Fetsko also drove in a pair of runs.
