Bulldogs keep playoff hopes alive with 11-2 win

Beth-Center 11, Bentworth 2 – The Beth-Center baseball team kept its WPIAL playoff hopes alive Thursday afternoon with an 11-2 win at Bentworth in Section 1-AA action.

The Bulldogs (8-6) improve to 7-5 in the section with games remaining against Fort Cherry and Chartiers-Houston, teams also in the playoff hunt.

Bentworth slips to 0-13 in the section and 1-14 overall.

Beth-Center scored two runs in the first, second, fourth and fifth innings, and three more in the top of the sixth.

Bentworth scored one in the second and two in the fifth.

Hunter Bowen had a run-scoring triple and Bailey Lincoski drove home a run with a double for the Bulldogs.

Anthony Dellapenna and Andrew Bower both had two singles for Beth-Center.

Dylan Dingle started and went four innings for the win, striking out four and walking two.

Justin Kisner took the loss, and had a double. Jacob Maimone also doubled for the Bearcats.
