Connellsville rides 7-run third inning to 10-3 win over Carmichaels
Brody Bonadio had three hits, including a double and a triple, and drove in a run as Connellsville rode a seven-run third inning to a 10-3 victory over visiting Carmichaels in Fayette American Legion baseball action on Friday.
Connellsville’s Jack Ansell contributed a double, single and two RBIs and Elijah Small was the winning pitcher.
Connellsville scored two runs in the bottom of the first, but Carmichaels tied it with a pair of runs in the top of the third. The hosts blew the game open with its seven-run explosion in the bottom of the frame.
Kyle Ridley also tripled for Connellsville and Jarrod David and Nolan Porterfield each had an RBI.
Matt Barrish and Collin Reynolds both knocked in a run for Carmichaels. Logan Mayhle was the losing pitcher.

Farmington 6, Jefferson-Morgan 2 – Jeremy Saliba pitched a four-hitter as Farmington defeated visiting Jefferson-Morgan, 6-2, in Fayette American Legion baseball action on Friday.
Nolan Sennett paced Farmington’s 12-hit attack with three singles and an RBI, Kaine Frye singled twice and drove in a run, and Trent Uphold and Wyatt Rishel each also had two hits.
Farmington scored all the runs it would need with four in the first inning, and tacked on its final two runs in the second. Saliba allowed just one earned run with three walks and eight strikeouts in going all seven innings.
Zach Gamble had two of Jefferson-Morgan’s four hits.
Gage Clark and Tyler Zelenick drove in J-M’s two runs.

Colonial 8, Waynesburg 7 – Colonial 3 scored a run in the top of the seventh to break the tie and held on for an 8-7 victory over Waynesburg on Friday at Waynesburg in Fayette American Legion baseball action.
Colonial 3’s Jaryn Addis was hit-by-pitch, stole second, moved to third on Nik Gibson’s sacrifice fly and scored on Brandon Bell’s RBI groundout.
Gibson didn’t allow a run in the bottom of the inning to pick up the win in relief. Gibson had three strikeouts and walked one in 2 1/3 innings pitcher. He relieved starter Noah Makin in the fifth with two outs.
Waynesburg (0-1) held a 3-2 lead after three innings before Colonial 3 (1-0) scored one run in the fourth, two in the fifth and two in the sixth for a 7-4 advantage heading into the bottom of the sixth. The visitors tied the game in their half of the sixth.
Addis had doubled and Dylan Dingle tripled for Colonial 3. Steven Edenfield had three hits and Alec McLay added two for the home team.
Tyler Rush and Nick Zator doubled for Waynesburg. Luke Robinson had four strikeouts and walked two, but took the loss for the visitors.
Colonial 3 travels to Smithfield at 2 p.m. on Monday while Waynesburg hosts Farmington.
