Rams defeat visiting Knoch, 6-1
Ringgold scored three goals in the first period Thursday night as the Rams rolled to a 6-1 victory over visiting Knoch in PIHL Division 2 hockey action.
The Rams improve to 6-2-0 with 12 points, while Knoch goes to 3-3-0 and 6 points.
Justin Day, Nathan Todd and Gaige Gazzalie scored in the first 17 minutes for the Rams. Todd’s tally was a power play goal midway through the period.
Bradley Bujdos gave Ringgold a 4-1 lead 11 minutes into the second period, but Knoch’s Jacob Golab answered about three minutes later.
Noah Schroeder and Clayton Colecchi closed the scoring in the third period.
The Rams’ Evan Cook made 14 saves to preserve the victory. Knoch’s Scott Moody faced 49 shots.
