Monessen led 40-0 at halftime Friday night and didn’t look back for a 46-12 victory over visiting Chartiers-Houston in Tri-County South Conference action.

Vaughn Taylor had a solid performance for the Greyhounds (4-1, 5-1) with 160 yards rushing on just eight carries. He had a 1-yard touchdown run.

Monessen’s Isaiah Beltram gained 121 yards on the ground on only four carries, including a 57-yard touchdown.

Teammate Justin Towler had a pair of 10-yard touchdown runs. Devin Whitlock scored on a 15-yard run. Marquell Smith scored on a 5-yard pass from Dawayne Howell.

The Buccaneers slip to 2-3 in the conference and 2-5 overall.
