Lady Bulldogs defeat visiting McGuffey, 45-31

Beth-Center pulled away in the second quarter on its way to a 45-31 Section 2-AAA victory Wednesday night over visiting McGuffey.

The game was tied at 8 after the first quarter, but the Lady Bulldogs (8-5, 12-8) led 24-11 at halftime. The home team held a slight 21-20 advantage in the final 16 minutes to secure the section win.

Elizabeth Trump and Anna Sloan shared scoring honors for Beth-Center with 10 points apiece.

Abby Donnelly scored 10 points for McGuffey (5-8, 8-12).
