Trinity rallies past Waynesburg Central, 9-4

Trinity scored four runs apiece in the sixth and seventh innings to rally past Waynesburg Central, 9-4, on Wednesday in non-section baseball action at Meadowlark Park.

The Raiders (0-1) took a 1-0 lead after the first before the Hillers (3-2) tied things up with a run in the third. Waynesburg Central scored three runs in the bottom of the inning for a 4-1 advantage.

Trinity took a 5-4 lead in the sixth and extended its advantage to five in the top of the seventh.

The Hillers’ Brandon Robaugh earned the win after coming in relief to begin the fourth. He didn’t allow a run on one hit in four innings with nine strikeouts and two walks. Teammate Jax Blanco had a double.

The Raiders’ Evan Zimmer took the loss after yielding five runs on three hits in 5 2/3. He had four strikeouts and walked four. Teammate Luke Robinson tripled.
