By The 1 min read

Frazier rallied from an early 4-0 deficit then held off host Monessen in the final inning to secure a 9-8 non-section baseball win on Thursday.

Marcus Tansmore had two hits and an RBI for the Greyhounds (0-1), who also got a three-run double from Zach Evans in the first inning, and a triple from Darnel Howell.

Brayden Baccino’s two-run single capped a six-run second to put the Commodores in front to stay, and Josh Skotnick tripled. Chase Hazelbaker came on in relief in the first inning for Frazier and pitched through the sixth to earn the win.

Monessen combined two walks and a pair of hit batsman to score a run in the bottom of the seventh, but Dom Dorcon regrouped and got a game-ending strikeout to earn the save.

Vincenzo Rhome took the loss.
