Rachel Rohanna carded five birdies in a bogey-free third round Saturday in the Symetra Tour Championship.

The Waynesburg Central graduate enters Sunday’s final round tied for seventh place after posting her second-consecutive 5-under 67. Rohanna has a three-day score of 10-under 206.

Sierra Sims and Laura Wearn share the lead heading into the final round at 12-under 204.

Rohanna had a run of birdies on the front nine, starting on No. 5 through the eighth hole. She had her final birdie on No. 11 for five birdies over a span of seven holes.

“Everything was solid. I missed a few fairways coming in and had some bad lies in the rough, but other than that everything was really solid,” said Rohanna.

Rohanna credits an equipment switch with her strong round.

“I switched golf ball brands today, too. I tried out a Bridgestone today and really liked it,” added Rohanna.
