Playoff-bound Lady Colonials down Uniontown, 3-1

Playoff-bound Albert Gallatin downed Uniontown, 3-1, on Thursday at Albert Gallatin High School in Section 3-AAA play.

The Lady Colonials (8-6, 10-8) won the first set, 25-19, before the Lady Red Raiders won the second, 25-17. AG earned a 25-21 victory in the third before a tiebreaking 30-28 triumph in the fourth.

The Lady Colonials’ Noelle Hall led the match in assists with 20, and she added five digs. Teammate Paige Bogozi had 15 kills, six digs and three aces.

Elizabeth Murtha had 12 kills, three blocks and two aces for the home team, and AG’s Odessa Hillard had 12 kills and five blocks. Teammate Autumn Switalski had six digs and two aces.

The Lady Colonials’ Noah Turner had four assists and one blocks. Kaylin Rhodes (6 assists), Emma Eckert (7 assists) and Asia Revak (2 kills) rounded out the scoring for AG.

Albert Gallatin will find out its playoff opponent on Monday when the WPIAL Class AAA pairings are announced.

The Lady Raiders’ season came to an end with a section record of 6-8. Mya Murray led the way with 12 kills and eight blocks. Jada McCargo, Summer Hawk and Nevaeh McCargo all finished with 12 digs. Tyannah Eddings contributed 13 assists and six digs. Karsyn Chiado had seven digs.
