PAC recognizes Wozniak
Saint Vincent College senior middle hitter Sarah Wozniak was name the PAC Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week for her efforts last week to help the Lady Bearcats finish 3-1 last week.
The Uniontown graduate had 38 kills, 45½ points, 12 digs and six blocks in Saint Vincent’s four matches. Wozniak’s 68 blocks lead the conference and her 258 kills rank third.

Mitchell top offensive player
California University of Pa. sophomore quarterback Noah Mitchell was named the PSAC West Offensive Athlete of the Week for his play in the Vulcans’ 54-14 victory at Gannon on Saturday. It is the first time Mitchell has been so honored.
Mitchell tied his career-high of four touchdown passes and also ran for a touchdown. He threw for 295 yards on 20-of-35 attempts in three quarters of action. Mitchell has passed for 1,774 yards this season, completing 58 percent (134-of-231) of his pass attempts, and has already matched the 19 touchdown passes he threw last season.

Waynesburg pair honored
Waynesburg’s Aubrey Wingeart and Jac Cokley were honored by the Presidents’ Athletic Conference for their individual performances last Saturday in the Inter-Regional Rumble.
Wingeart was named the conference’s Women’s Runner of the Week after she placed 21st in the 283-field with a 6K time of 22:19.8.
Cokley was recognized as the Men’s Rookie Runner of the Week after he finished 133rd with a time of 26:35.8 in the 8K race hosted by Oberlin.
