Warriors close regular season with 38-6 win
Elizabeth Forward scored the final 31 points of the Big East Conference game Friday night for a 38-6 road victory at Yough.
The Warriors close with a 6-2 conference record and overall mark of 7-2, and await word of their WPIAL playoff game. The Cougars end with a conference record of 1-7 and overall record of 1-9.
Jason McClellan’s 59-yard pass from Jacob Prah spotted the Warriors the early lead, but Yough responded later in the quarter on Gamal Marballie’s 1-yard dive.
Evan Lewis then had a hand in three of Elizabeth Forward’s next four touchdowns with scoring passes of 13 and 4 yards, plus a 43-yard touchdown run. Lewis completed 7-of-10 passes for 137 yards. Nico Mrvos caught four passes for 107 yards.
