Falcons, Lady Rams sweep Section 2-AAA meet

The Connellsville boys and Ringgold girls both swept Section 2-AAA triangular meets Tuesday at Bill Power Stadium.

The Falcons defeated Uniontown, 94-54, and Ringgold, 117-33. The Red Raiders gained a split with an 81½-68½ victory against the Rams.

The Lady Rams downed Connellsville, 106-43, and host Uniontown, 95-53. The Lady Raiders earned a split with a 79-62 win over the Lady Falcons.

The 400 relay (45.65), Bryson Edwards (300 intermediate hurdles, 44.01; high jump, 5-8), Jayden McBride (high jump, 5-8), Anthony Mickens (200, 23.83), Austin Molinaro (3,200, 10:31.60), 1,600 relay (3:47.50), Dexter Albert (pole vault, 10-6), Nicholas Rohal (discus, 127-6; javelin, 158-4), and Nathan Reese (shot put, 47-7) all had overall first-place finishes for Connellsville.

Uniontown’s K’Adrian McLee (110 high hurdles, 16.60), Johnell Smith (100, 11.60), Mason Stewart (1,600, 4:38.80; 800, 2:10.30), Payton Hostetler (400, 53.28), and Taevian Richardson (high jump, 5-8; triple jump, 40-11) all had overall first-place finishers.

Ringgold’s Dayne Wilson was the top long jumper with a leap of 19-2½.

The Ringgold girls received overall first-place finishes from Angelina Massey (100, 12.57; 200, 25.90; triple jump, 33-2), Bella Massey (400, 1:06.96), Isabel Shvarts (300 intermediate hurdles, 51.70), Abigael Nicolas (high jump, 4-0), Nila Forlinnni (pole vault, 7-0), Katelyn Ferrence (long jump, 15-9½), and Abigail Whaley (shot put, 30-1; javelin, 105-0).

Connellsville’s Kloee Heater was the winner of the 100 high hurdles in 18 seconds.

Grace Trimmer (1,600, 5:43.0) and Hope Trimmer (800, 2:23.70) had overall first-place finishes for the Lady Raiders.
