Mikes rally for 6-2 win at Charleroi

Jacob Fordyce’s three-run home run sparked a four-run fourth inning as Carmichaels rallied past Charleroi, 6-2, Friday for a non-section win.

The Mikes led 1-0 in the top of the first inning, but the Cougars rallied for two runs in the bottom of the inning.

Carmichaels added an insurance run in the top of the seventh inning.

Liam Lohr went the distance for the victory, allowing one earned run on eight hits with one walk and seven strikeouts.

Joe Campbell took the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits with four walks and two strikeouts.

Carmichaels’ Mason Lapana and Dominic Colarusso both doubled. Colarusso drove in two runs with two hits, while Lapana drove in a run.

Jake Bevridge had a pair of singles for the Cougars. Jace Pager drove in a run.
