Trout Unlimited to hold public meeting

The Chestnut Ridge Chapter of Trout Unlimited has announced that it is holding a public meeting to discuss its continued treatment of abandoned mine acid drainage on Glade Run, tributary to Dunbar Creek and the Youghiogheny River.

The meeting will be held Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Uniontown Columbian Association, 888 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, PA 15401.

The public is invited to attend, as well as partner agencies, organizations, and municipalities which have lent assistance and support to the project since its inception in 1998.

The meeting is being held to satisfy public disclose requirements of a Coldwater Heritage Partnership Grant awarded to Chestnut Ridge Chapter of Trout Unlimited to continue acid mine drainage treatment in the Glade Run basin.
