Conroy’s third-period goal lifts Carrick to 3-2 win

Kian Conroy scored the deciding goal early in the third period to lift visiting Carrick to a 3-2 victory on Thursday in a PIHL D2 game.

Conroy scored just over two minutes into the final period

Ringgold (3-2-1-0) scored the first goal when Benito Pesi beat Reed Richardson at 6:22 of the first period. Matt Sylvester and Caden Doran picked up assists.

Drew Bird tied the game about 10 minutes later.

Ringgold regained the lead on Landon Vacarro’s power-play goal at 1:23. Carrick (4-2-0-1) tied the game seven minutes later on Ethan Semenov’s goal.

The Rams had a power play for the final 75 seconds, but were not able to slip one by Richardson. Richardson preserved the victory with 29 saves.

Ringgold’s Collin Moffett stopped 34 shots.
