FCCA Girls Basketball Team
The Fayette County Coaches Association recently honored its All-Recognition Girls Basketball Team. Members of the team pictured are (front row, from left) Malana Burton and Allie Yauch of Frazier, Mya Glisan and Grayce Panos of Albert Gallatin, Madison Waggett and Emma Larkin of Geibel Catholic, Miya Harris of Laurel Highlands, Janiah Darnell of Geibel Catholic, (back row, from left) Taylor Schwertfeger, Taylor Irwin, Righteous Richardson and Ayrianna Sumpter of Laurel Highlands, Emily Myers of Uniontown and Mallory Clemmer of Geibel Catholic. The FCCA also honored Geibel Catholic for winning the section championship, reaching the WPIAL semifinals and qualifying for the PIAA tournament; Brownsville for qualifying for the WPIAL playoffs; Laurel Highlands for qualifying for the WPIAL and PIAA playoffs; and 1,000-point scorers Glisan, Gates, Harris and Sumpter.
