Elizabeth Forward scored five goals in the second period Monday night for an 8-2 victory at Wilmington in a PIHL D2 Division game.
The Warriors (2-4-0-0-0) scored the first three goals of the second period to run their lead to 4-0.
Joey Wach scored a power play goal just 59 seconds into the period. Owen Sabatini netted a power play goal at 5:04 and Wach scored his second goal of the period just 71 seconds later.
Wilmington (2-5-0-0-0) responded with goals from Sean Carmichael and Andrew Cartwright, but the Warriors rallied with goals from Riley Wright and Cameron Napoli.
Sabatini scored the only goal of the third period at 10:15.
Doug Hoffman spotted Elizabeth Forward a 1-0 lead in the first quarter at 9:02.
Elizabeth Forward goalie Andrew Weir made 26 saves. The Warriors pelted Wilmington’s Tagg Walker with 51 shots.
