Uniontown clay target team accepting new members
The Uniontown Area School District’s clay target team is looking for new members from neighboring districts to help their squad grow.
The students must be in grades 6-12 and in good standing with their school.
An orientation meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be at the Fayette Gun Club, which is located at 1435 Gun Club Road, Uniontown, PA 15401.

Last season’s team had participants from Albert Gallatin, Carmichaels, Laurel Highlands and Turkeyfoot Valley. The squad is co-ed and the other districts are able to compete as part of a co-op agreement that allows students from nearby districts that do not offer a clay shooting team to join.
Every student will have the opportunity to compete and safety is the No. 1 priority.
The team shoots in person during the spring portion of the season. In the fall, they compete virtually.
