A.J. McMullen boys' basketball team sets school record for wins

A.J. McMullen School in Markleysburg honored its boys’ basketball team with a plaque at a ceremony on June 4 at the middle school that is part of the Uniontown Area School District. The Junior Raiders won a school-record 15 games this past season to best the previous mark of 14. The team was 13-5 in conference play and 15-7 overall. A.J. McMullen, who is coached by 2004 Uniontown graduate Joshua Scully, went on a nine-game conference winning streak, which is also a school record, and had two victories in the Laurel Highlands Christmas Tournament.
