Dutch Harvey took Yough’s softball program to new heights, including a state championship in 2016 and two runner-up finishes in the WPIAL Championship Game, but the former Cougar has decided to resign following six years at the helm.

Havey led Yough to a record of 94-30 and four section titles from 2015-18. Harvey was assisted by Keith Waywood and Euel Craze. Angela Varhula was a former assistant.

Havey attached his letter of resignation to members of the media in an email and thanked everyone that helped the program.

Harvey did not state in the letter any reasons for his resignation.
