Belle Vernon hung with Class AAAA Canon-McMillan but dropped a 4-0 non-section match on Saturday at James Weir Stadium.

The Lady Big Macs (8-5, 12-5) held a 1-0 lead at the half, but scored three in the second. The Lady Leopards (11-0, 12-3) had several chances in the first half. Canon-McMillan defeated Belle Vernon by scores of 7-0 and 8-0 in the previous two matches between the two.

Lady Leopards keeper Grace Henderson made two saves.

Belle Vernon is at Laurel Highlands (6-4, 6-9) on Monday in its last Section 2-AAA match with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
