West Greene rallied for a 3-2 Section 2-A victory over Mapletown on Tuesday at Mapletown.

The Lady Maples (0-3, 0-3) won the first set via tiebreaker, 26-24, but the Lady Pioneers (1-2, 2-2) won a 33-31 battle in the second. Mapletown took a 2-1 lead in a 25-22 win in the third set, but West Greene forced the decisive fifth set in winning the fourth. The Lady Pioneers won the fifth set, 15-12.

Paige Taylor led West Greene in kills with eight. Teammate Kylie Simms had seven assists and Mackenize Wise had 11 digs. Jersey Wise added four aces.

The Lady Maples’ Macee Cree had five aces and 26 assists, and teammate Ella Menear had 11 kills and 20 digs. Mapletown’s Sadie McCann had eight kills, five aces and four blocks, and Krista Wilson had six aces.
