Elizabeth Forward placed three girls in the top five Tuesday afternoon to open the Section 2-AAA schedule with a sweep of the quadrangular meet.
The Lady Warriors defeated Thomas Jefferson, 17-43, Ringgold, 19-36, and Laurel Highlands, 16-39. Ringgold defeated Thomas Jefferson, 19-42, and Laurel Highlands beat Thomas Jefferson, 20-39.
Ringgold and Laurel Highlands will score the final meet of the season in two weeks.
Elizabeth Forward’s Hannah Hebda finished first in 23:29, with teammate Sophia Lee-Hauser next to cross the line 30 seconds later.
Ringgold’s Charlee Leach placed third in 24:04. The Lady Warriors’ Bailey McLaughlin was fourth with a time of 24:20 and Thomas Jefferson’s Lydia Shaw was fifth in 24:43.
Elizabeth Forward’s Corinne Lee-Hauser (6, 24:50) and Marissa Manko (9, 26:07), Ringgold’s Andrea Kassa (7, 25:29) and Anjolina Hrycko (10, 26:38), and Laurel Highlands’ Haley Filcheck (8, 25:31) rounded out the top 10.
The Fillies’ Andrianne Mattie (27:48), Tara Rankin (27:57), and Elena Cavanaugh (28:19) finished 11 through 13, followed by Ringgold’s Jenna Sargent (28:39) and Matigan Evans (28:48).
