Noah Lehner finished second in Belle Vernon’s Section 3-AA victories over West Greene (31-35) and California (26-29) on Tuesday at Greene County Airport.
The Trojans topped the Pioneers, 23-33.
Lehner finished second overall in 19:03. Chartiers-Houston’s Alex Siege was the overall winner in 18:28.
California’s Kolby Kent was eighth in 20:40 and Mason Kent was ninth in 20:42. The Leopards’ Mark Shanoda was 11th in 21:51 and the Pioneers’ Levi Corbly was 12th in 22:00.
Luke Henderson (22:31), Cam Miller (23:07) and Hayden Pressel (26:51) rounded out Belle Vernon’s top five.
West Greene’s Kaden Shields completed the 5K course in 22:56, and teammates Nash Bloom (23:45), Ian VanDyne (27:03) and Parker Smith (28:41) rounded out the finished in the top five for the Pioneers.
Jay McDanek finished in 23:32 for the Trojans. Teammates Steven Gwyn and Ethan Bodnar crossed the finish line in 24:03 and 24:47.
Belle Vernon 25, West Greene 30; Belle Vernon 21, California 36; West Greene 26, California 29 — Grace Henderson came in at 20:20 to help lead Belle Vernon to Section 3-AA wins over West Greene and California.
Teammate Viva Kreis came in next and Kaitlyn Keegan followed. Mara Shrader and Kirsten Brooks closed the scoring for the Lady Leopards.
Makayla Boda came in first for the Lady Trojans. Teammate Ana Georgagis came in next, followed by Raquel Rhodes, Samantha Smichnick and Kara Goddard.
Katie Lampe was the top finisher for the Lady Pioneers in 25:14. Teammate Kiley Meek (25:44) was second and Isabella Stokes (25:55) came in third. Sarah Collins (31:26) and Lexi Six (34:22) closed the scoring for West Greene. The Lady Pioneers were 3-1 in the meet.
West Greene is at Waynesburg Central next Tuesday in a triangular meet.
