Ringgold maintained its spot in third place in Section 3-AAA by blanking Laurel Highlands, 6-0, although the Mustangs (6-6, 8-8) clinched at least a share of fourth place and a playoff spot with AG’s loss to Belle Vernon.

Frankie Lowstetter had two goals and two assists for the Rams (8-4, 10-6), and Jason Vaccaro added two goals and an assist. Andrew Bottino and Brandin Jaki also had goals.

Ringgold goalkeeper Jeremy Mullen had to make just one save to complete his fifth shutout of the season.

The Rams can finish in a tie with Trinity for second place if the Hillers lose to Albert Gallatin on Saturday.
