Cade Warrick hit a tie-breaking, two-run home run in the fifth inning to propel Mill Run past the Fayette Raiders, 8-2, in Fayette County Baseball League action on Wednesday night.

Jimmy Malone fired a two-hitter with one walk and 10 strikeouts to earn the complete-game victory. Both hits came in the fourth inning when the Raiders (6-5) scored twice to tie the game at 2-2 as Travis Bevard singled and Anthony Dellapenna added an RBI hit.

Warrick broke the tie with his blast off losing pitcher Trevor Stewart, who went five innings, and the Millers (9-2) added three more runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to cap the scoring.

Grant Witt singled three times and Nolan Porterfield had two hits and two RBIs for Mill Run. Garrett Brooks also stroked a pair of singles.

Carmichaels 11, AMD Industries 0 — Joby Lapkowicz struck out 14 and scattered three hits to lead the Copperheads to a Fayette County Baseball League road victory.

Lapkowicz only walked one in the 6-inning victory as Carmichaels solidified its spot atop the standings with a 13-1 record.

Carmichaels scored four in the top of the second inning, and then added two runs in the top of the third, fifth and sixth innings and a solo run in the fourth.

Chuck Gasti belted a solo home run in the top of the third inning.

John Przybylinski had a double and single in the victory. Joel Spishock also had a double. Brant Bonadio, Joe Poccini and Nate Torbich all had two singles for the Copperheads.

Alex Adams doubled for AMD Industries (2-10).
