Magazine seeks stories CALIFORNIA – Peer Amid Literary Magazine, a publication that garnished 32 awards during its online phase, is seeking contributors for a new issue due out late summer.

The magazine is looking for poems, short plays, artwork, photography, short fiction and essays.

Peer Amid Literary Magazine is the brainchild of Carla E. Anderton, a California University of Pennsylvania professional writing major.

Originally, the magazine was created to provide a forum for published and unpublished writers, artists and photographers to showcase their works. The magazine first appeared in Memphis, Tenn., in 1994, and since its inception has undergone a relocation to California. For more information or for in-depth guidelines, e-mail Carla E. Cadrette receives award

MERCERSBURG – Ryan Cadrette, a sophomore student and son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Cadrette of Farmington, received the theater prize during the 2001-02 year at Mercersburg Academy.

Mercersburg Academy is an independent, co-educational, college preparatory, board and day school, which has prepared young men and women for four-year colleges and universities and life beyond since 1893.
