‘Road to Perdition’ delves into father-son relationship

Newman and Hanks are the heart and soul, respectively, of “Perdition,” but it’s Mendes and Hall who give the inspired picture a flesh-and-blood realism showing that the main character is simultaneously traveling on a “Road” to ruin and salvation. FILM REVIEW
