PERRYOPOLIS – The Frazier Drama Club will present its fall production of “Alice in Wonderland” at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 21-22, in the Frazier High School Auditorium. Tickets will be available at the door. For information, call 724-736-4425.

Once again, Alice will follow the White Rabbit into Wonderland, recalling all the magical characters people associate with the class tale by Lewis Carroll. This adaptation of the tale was developed by the 1992 Frazier Drama Club and is reprised for its 10-year anniversary.

Alice plays by Lori Jellick, who also serves as student director, visits and White Rabbit portrayed by Becca Harmon and the Duchess played by Jenny Cutter who is also the Gryphon. Matthew Carson plays the role of the king and Rachel Lynch portrays the Queen of Hearts.

The Cheshire Cat (Tricia Homsher) and the Mad Hatter (Dina Acklin), with March Hare (Andrea Puskar, also Humpty Dumpty) and Dormouse (Sara Toth) confuse Alice terribly, and things only get worse when the Queen of Hearts’ croquet party begins.

Alice continues “through the looking glass” to find Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee (Tricia Tomsher and Dina Acklin), the Red Queen (Lynette Rendina) White Queen (Israel Ragle) and White King (Joe Van Dine).

The battle of the Lion (Roberta Emory and the Unicorn (Stephanie Smith) and the exploits of the Red Knight (Adam Margovic) and White Knight (Tyler Phillips) help Alice to become a queen herself and determine the outcome of the trail of the Knave of Hearts (Tyler Phillips).

While Alice fears for her head, since the Queen of Hearts is so savage, all will be well with the help of the extensive supporting cast.

Cast members include Jen Salko (Pigeon, Tiger Lily), Lindsay Kolencik (Narrator), Morgan Redman (Mouse), Jenna Boyles (Walrus), Stephen Sholtas (Caterpillar), Karen Babyak (Footman), Lauren Tucker, Cody Inman and Ricky Emory (Gardeners and Jurors), Ana Rendina (Mock Turtle), Chelsea Gallo (Pepper Cook), Samantha Wolpink (Rose), Joyce Carson, Emily Cominetti, Ashley Etling, Crystal Cumberland (Soldiers and Jurors), Jessica White, Kristen Condupa, Alana Ramsier, Shannon Mattox and Michael Rendina (Jurors).

Stage crew, props and costuming are handled by Tom Dunay, Jesse Howser, Ken Kovach, Nick Kovach, Joe Karaffa, Jason Citro, Keith Monholland, Jeff Adams, Shelton James, Brandon James, Ray Wolpink, Matt Adams, Sarah Kostelac, Ashley Beattie and Nichole George.

This extensive cast includes students from grades six through 12 – all of whom work remarkably well together to produce a wonderful performance, according to Joanne Cushman, director.

The public is invited to attend the production. Tickets will be available at the door the nights of the performance.
