Hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. “Christmas Cheer” will serve as the theme this year with the rooms adorned with some fresh trees and greens, flowers and traditional decorations.
Hot wassail and cookies will be served.

A new Christmas attraction named “Lights on the Mountain” is open to the public at Woodland Zoo, located along Route 40 in Farmington. The display, which will feature more than 6,000 lights used in 40 new displays, will continue through Sunday.
The exhibition is unique because the theme depicts the animals in the surrounding zoo as well as other important landmarks of Fayette County area history.
There is no admission fee, but carload donations will be accepted from the visitors to help pay for the cost of electricity and to help support the animals at the zoo. Woodland Zoo will also cooperate with the THON Team from Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus in raising funds to benefit the Four Diamonds Fund.
The zoo will be open during the day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some of the images included in the lighted displays are a cougar, a wolf, George Washington, a Conestoga wagon and many others.

New Year’s Eve Round and Square Dance will be held from 9 p.m. today to 12:30 a.m. Saturday at the Ohiopyle Community Center.
Free food, beverage, hats and noisemakers are available. There is a cost.
Bullskin Senior Center will host a New Year’s Eve covered dish dinner and dance, featuring Dave Dahl at the keyboard, today.
Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. followed by the dance from 1 to 3 p.m.

A New Year’s Eve Event will be held tonight at Living Word Church of God in Old Frame, Smithfield.
Dinner will be served from 7 to 8:30 p.m. followed by concerts from 9 p.m. to midnight.

The city will revel in a celebration of the arts – dance, music, comedy, theater, visual art, plus hands-on activities for children and adults and more.
The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. and end with the Grand Finale and Zambelli Fireworks display over the Allegheny River at midnight.
To join the celebration, purchase a First Night Pittsburgh 2005 Button, a passport to more than 100 performances, activities and exhibits.
There is a cost for First Night buttons.
Children age 5 and under are admitted free of charge.
First Night Buttons are available at any local Giant Eagle grocery store.
They are also available at the box office at Theater Square, which is located at 665 Penn Ave., between the O’Reilly Theater and Katz Plaza in downtown Pittsburgh.
