‘Best of Chefs’ event to serve up food, wine”Best of Chefs, Best of Broadway” reception will be held Saturday prior to opening night during the 15th anniversary season of the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Uniontown. The State Theatre Center for the Arts in Uniontown opens its 15th anniversary season with “Best of Broadway” on Saturday.
Those who plan to attend the show are invited to the “Best of Chefs, Best of Broadway” reception prior to opening night at the Fayette Building Rotunda, which was donated for the evening by Gary Gearing. Guests will enjoy a variety of award-winning hors d’oeurves plus a complimentary glass of wine from the Christian W. Klay Winery. The Titlow Tavern & Grille will provide Starbucks Coffee.
Local chefs have agreed to donate their time and talents for this premiere event. They include Joe Carei of Caileigh’s in Uniontown, William Severac of Chez Gerard, Melanie Bigelow of Titlow Tavern & Grille, Bob Kennison of Meloni’s, Albert Morgan of Stemz, Ann Popovic of Generations and Timothy Gordon of Shadyside. Tickets for this event can be purchased by calling the State Theatre at 724-439-1360. There will be a limited number of tickets sold for the reception.
As a special touch added for guests, limousine service will be provided from the Fayette Building to the State Theatre by the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home. Finally, the committee commended Beverly DeMotte and the art students at Uniontown High School for making the masks that will decorate the event.
