Auditions slated

FLATWOODS – Flatwoods Productions will hold auditions for its upcoming September production of “The King and I” Auditions will be held at the Curfew Grange building located at the corner of Route 201 south and Buena Vista Road in Flatwoods (across from the cemetery). They will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. Needed are approximately 20 children ages 6 through 14 to play the children of the king and to be featured in the ballet “Small House of Uncle Thomas.” Children should bring a song to sing and be prepared to do some simple movement No experience is necessary and all children auditioning will be cast in some capacity for the show. Rehearsals for children will be held primarily on weekends. Also needed are boys and girls ages 14 through 20 to perform in the show and to dance the ballet of “Uncle Thomas” Dance experience is helpful but not necessary and all dancers auditioning will be cast in some role for the show and ballet. Especially needed is a male (age 16 to 30) who is well built, athletic and can move well, not necessarily dance, to play the evil Simon of Legree. Men and women ages 20 through 65 are needed for other roles. Call 724-785-6896.
