‘Disney’s Beauty and the Beast’ comes alive in Connellsville
CONNELLSVILLE – Auditions have been held and parts have been cast for the Connellsville Area High School production of the Broadway musical “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.” The cast consists of 80 talented high school students. The 35th annual musical will be presented at the Connellsville Area High School auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, March 3-5, and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6.
Principal cast members are Lindsay Dilworth as Belle, Chuck Sleasman as the Beast, Willy Herrington as Gaston, Nathan Pritts as Lefou, Robert Mitchell as Monsier D’Argue, Jordan Hoover as Lumiere, Chris Mickey as Cogsworth, Amy White as Mrs. Potts, Cody Adanitsch as Maurice, Kristen Pletcher as Babette, Chelsey Kurtz as Madame de la Grande Bouche and Alex Tinker as Chip.
Student directors are Troy Eans and Matthew Mongell.
Merle Stutzman Jr., who has directed all 35 musical productions at the school, will produce and direct the show.
Tickets are now on sale to the public. The ticket office will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from noon to 4 p.m. The ticket office will have extended hours on Wednesday from noon to 6 p.m.
