Children’s choir to accept new members
The Greater Uniontown Children’s Choir will accept new members for the 2005 spring season through the end of February. All interested children may audition any Thursday evening prior to choir rehearsal at 6:15 p.m. beginning Jan. 27.
Students will be asked to prepare the “Star Spangled Banner” for the audition.
The choir rehearses from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, beginning Jan. 27, 2003, in the music room at Dunbar Borough Elementary School on Pechin’s Road.
The school is located across the road from the Fayette County Fairgrounds.
The choir recently attended the Maryland Children’s Choir Festival in April 2002.
In addition to its annual concert, the choir performs for annual holiday events at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa, Nemacolin Castle, Christian Klay Winery and individual private parties.
The choir is open to children who like to sing from the Fayette County area grades four through senior high.
Boys must have unchanged voices if they are interested in joining the choir.
