Music club to present Valentine recital

GREENSBURG – The Friday Evening Music Club of the Greensburg area announces the fourth recital of the season titled “Valentine Special” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, located at 221 N. Main St. in Greensburg. Soprano Christina Farrell will sing “Fair Robin I love” from Tartuffe by Kirke Mecham; “The Black Swan” from The Medium by Gian-Carlo Menotti; and “Ain’t That a Pretty Night” from Susannah by Carlisle Floyd. Christine Loughran will accompany her.

Pianists John Kulik and Dr. T. J. Maroon will perform music of Cole Porter and George Gershwin, and flutists Michelle Boulet and Nina Edgar and pianist Edward Kuhn will perform Doppler’s “Andante and Rondo, Op. 25.” Robert Kotcher, a piano student of John Kulik, will perform “Preludes” of George Gershwin. Admission is free to club members and a small donation for the general public at the door.
