Ohiopyle plans weekend of activities
OHIOPYLE – Ohiopyle State Park has an array of activities scheduled for this weekend Today’s program, “Lewis and Clark’s Great Adventure” will be held from 3:30 to 10 p.m. at Kentuck Campground Amphitheater, celebrating the bicentennial of Lewis and Clark’s voyage of discovery.
On Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. the park is organizing a volunteer cleanup, as park volunteers do a little trail cleaning. Those wishing to participate should bring a lunch and dress appropriately.
Also on Saturday, the PA Black Bear program will be held from 8:30 to 10 p.m. at Kentuck Campground Amphitheater. The program will offer information on black bears and where they’re found in Ohiopyle State Park.
On Sunday, the park will hold the Summer Wildflowers Hike at 10 a.m. at the Train Station – Ferncliff.
Also Sunday, Kentuck Campground Amphitheater hosts a French and Indian War program from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Visitors can learn about the role Ohiopyle played in the war.
