AG teachers display artwork at Uniontown bank this month

National City Bank in downtown Uniontown is the setting for the June art exhibit sponsored by the Uniontown Art Club. It features the work of four art educators from the Albert Gallatin School District, as well as four members of the Uniontown Art Club.

The teachers whose work is on display are Rose Blout, who teaches elementary art at Masontown and George Plava schools; Sharon Sementa-Bunyan, who teaches Art 1, Art 2 and Arts/Crafts at the Albert Gallatin Senior High School; Madelyn Cindric, who teaches Art 3 and Art 4 and Ceramics/Sculpture at Albert Gallatin Senior High School; and Marianne Filiaggi, who teaches elementary art at D. Ferd Swaney and A.L. Wilson schools.

Blout and Cindric are exhibiting original watercolor paintinings. Sementa-Bunyan is showing 3-D works on paper done in mixed media, and Filiaggi is displaying her handmade glass beads and jewelry.

The exhibit continues through the month of June and can be seen during bank hours.
