The Frank L. The Clarks, a well-known Pittsburgh rock band, will perform Saturday, Nov. 12, at the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Uniontown. The band features Connellsville native Scott Blasey, the lead singer. Candlelight tours and pumpkin display will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays in October at Laurel Caverns off Route 40 near the Summit Mountain. There is a cost for each person. Pre-school students are admitted free. Bring a carved pumpkin with a candle for the display and receive one free admission per family. A free bat program will be presented after last tour.

The 67th annual Halloween parade will be held on Wednesday, Oct 26, beginning at 6 p.m. in Uniontown. There is no rain date. The parade will form in the parking lot at the intersection of Gallatin Avenue and Penn Street at 5:15 p.m. It will move south on Gallatin Avenue and west on Main to the VFW Post 47 hall. Bands will form on East Penn Street near the Fayette County Courthouse. Mummers and small floats will form in the East Penn Strett parking lot. “A Dickens of a Holiday” in Uniontown begins with a traditional light-up night, featuring a holiday parade at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18. On Thursday, Dec. 1, downtown businesses will partner with their favorite charities and share cookies and recipes prepared by partnering charities with patrons. Then patrons can visit the Fayette Building to purchase their favorite cookies from the charities for the holidays. On Thursday, Dec. 8, school spirit night features choral performances from Fayette County schools that will also be decorating storefronts of downtown businesses in November. City Mission-Living Stones Inc. will hold its first 5K run/walk on Saturday, Oct. 22, in Uniontown. All proceeds will benefit the homeless of Fayette County. 64 Crayons at Jozart offers local playwrights the opportunity to see their work produced on the fully equipped stage at Jozart’s Studios, 333 Second St., California. Playwrights whose work is accepted for production will be expected to attend early rehearsals and at least one performance of their work. The Monongahela River Buffs are devoted to the transportation history of the Monongahela River. Ride to the pumpkin patch on the Pumpkin Patch Trolley at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum in Washington. The decorated trolley will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday this weekend, Oct. 22-23 and Oct. 29-30. Children get to pick a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch and decorate it. There is an admission cost for adults, senior citizens age 65 and older and children ages 3 to 15.

Children ages 2 and under are admitted free. The museum is also running a special service to the Pennsylvania Arts & Crafts Christmas Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 21-23 and Oct. 29-30. There is a cost for the round-trip ticket. Admission to the festival is an additional charge.
