Join Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, community and the Diversity Task Force as they dedicate the fall semester program to honor Native American heritage. As part of the program, organizers have invited the Piscataway Indian Nation Singers & Dancers. This event will take place at the Swimmer Auditorium in the Williams Building on at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8. Tickets are available at a small cost, and all proceeds will support future Diversity Task Force programs.

Armed with full regalia, authentic Native American dances, drums and songs, the Piscataway Indian Nation Singers and Dancers provides education and entertainment for audiences that want to learn more about Native American history, culture and contemporary issues.

The Diversity Task Force at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, has taken on the mission to increase and enhance diversity awareness in both the campus community and the larger community.

To aid its efforts, the Diversity Task Force opened a new Cultural Center earlier this year. The center provides information and models of discussion for learning about and addressing concerns related to multicultural issues. Every fall and spring the center will have a theme that will be specific to a particular culture. This fall the center will promote Native American history.

The public is invited to join organizers at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8 to welcome the Piscataway Indian Nation Singers & Dancers at Penn State Fayette’s Swimmer Auditorium. Following the performance, a reception will be held in the Cultural Center, also located in the William’s building. Light refreshments will be served, and winners in the Native American Art Competition will be announced. The evening promises to be entertaining and educational.
