CONNELLSVILLE – The Mozart Music Club will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wesley United Methodist Church on South Pittsburgh Street in Connellsville. The public is invited to the entertainment portion of the meeting, which begins at 7:45 p.m. Touch of Class, a music duo comprised of Sheryl Nagy and Jim Meyers, will present a program that will commemorate the end of World War II.
Nagy is a recent graduate of Seton Hill University, with a certificate in sacred music. She is director of liturgical music at St. PiusX/Visitation Churches in Mount Pleasant. She is also a private voice and piano instructor. She has many years of experience doing solo work and singing in bands.
Meyers is an instrumental music teacher in the Connellsville School District. He has more than 30 years experience playing in bands. He is currently with Allegheny.
Touch of Class presents a variety of musical styles, including soft rock, oldies and country, featuring live music with a full band sound to add a special touch to dinner parties, banquets, anniversaries, reunions, weddings and Christmas parties. Their music scans the years from the 1930s and the big band era all the way to the present and back.
The program will be held in the Savannah Wesley room. Entrance to the church should be made through the red door in the back of the church.
