The Clarks, a well-known Pittsburgh rock band, will perform Saturday, Nov. 12, at the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Uniontown. The band features Connellsville native Scott Blasey, the lead singer. The concert will benefit the Conn-Area Catholic School, 110 N. Prospect St., Connellsville. Produced under the guidance of the Fayette County Historical Society, the video is filled with hundreds of photographs, interviews with historians and residents from the county, plus profiles of many towns and communities. The book, “Abel Gray: A Romance of the National Road,” written by A.F. Hill in 1876, was reproduced by the historical society in 1998 as a fictional novel with accurate depictions of the National Road. The Smock Historical Society Museum is open now through Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays or by special appointment. The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Ligonier Valley announces the Lingenfelter Collection of Native American Art exhibition. The 11th annual Pennsylvania Arts & Crafts Christmas Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 21-23 and Oct. 29-30 at the Washington County Fairgrounds on North Main Street, Washington. The Monongahela River Buffs are devoted to the transportation history of the Monongahela River.
