The free concert series sponsored by the Connellsville Lions Club continues on Sunday with a performance by “Punch,’ playing oldies and rock and roll hits. Lions Square is located in downtown Connellsville and the club is now in its fifth year of sponsoring concerts. Several local businesses and the Connellsville Recreation Department have helped the Lions sponsor these concerts. Rounding out the season on Aug. 6 will be Jake Zelmore and the Traveling Road Show followed by Connellsville’s own jazz great, Harold Betters on August 20. Refreshments are available and a 50/50 winner will be drawn.

Classic Car/Truck/Motorcycle Show will be held, rain or shine, Sunday at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown. Registration will begin at 1 p.m. and the show will conclude at about 6 p.m. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 200 vehicles and more than 50 trophies will be awarded. Independent judging will be held. American and Polish foods will be available and other features will include drawings, door prizes, games, a Chinese auction and D.J. Arnie Amber. Paradise United Methodist Church will hold its second annual car show at Jacob’s Creek Ball Park across from Jacob’s Creek Dam from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Registration begins at 11 a.m. There is a donation. There is a spectator admission charge. Children under 12 are admitted free. The rain date is July 30. All donations will benefit the Paradise Church Building Fund.

Adah Volunteer Fire Department will hold a hog roast on Saturday. A fireman’s parade will be held at noon. Lineup will be at 11 a.m. at Chuck’s Boat Club. Bands will include Hit-N-Run from 1 to 5 p.m. and River Rock from 7 to 11 p.m. For more information, call 724-737-6300.

Ballet Lafayette, the resident ballet company of the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Uniontown, will hold a Princess Ice Cream Social at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Polish Hall Club on South Mt. Vernon Avenue, Uniontown. Guests are invited to dress in princess attire and participate as a member of the Royal Court. Court members will decorate cookies and build their own royal sundaes. A Chinese auction will be held. Prizes will include a child-sized castle. Guests will also have an opportunity to have their pictures taken with their favorite princess characters. Ohiopyle State Park will hold the following interpretive programs this weekend: French and Indian War at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Kentuck Campground Amphitheater; “Can You Dig It,’ a program on geology and pit digging at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kentuck Campground Amphitheater. Due to pit size, the program is limited to 20 participants; Rattlesnakes at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Kentuck Campground Amphitheater. The program will focus on these snakes; Snake hike at noon Sunday from the Train Station. Classic Car Cruise to benefit Fayette County Domestic Violence Services will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Arctic Delite, located three miles north of Uniontown on Route 51. Sagebrush Round-Up on Bunner Ridge near Fairmont, W.Va., on Saturday will present Granny Blosser/Bill Murray and Friends, Hard Times, The Harrisons and Wildfire. The West Overton Historical House and Village on Route 819, Scottdale, will commemorate its founding 78 years ago by Helen Clay Frick on Saturday and Sunday with free tours of the homestead and demonstrations by artisans, musicians and Civil War reenactments. Events will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission to the house, artisans and reenacting demonstrations are free. There will be a fee for admission to the museum.

West Overton Village is located on Route 819 in Scottdale. The mission of West Overton Museums is to preserve and interpret the history of West Overton Village, it building and collections, and provide educational, research and outreach opportunities for the public.
