Uniontown to host Bluegrass Festival on Saturday
A Bluegrass Festival will be held 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the VFW Post 47 parking lot on Main Street, Uniontown. This event is free, and everyone is invited to attend.
Those who plan to attend the event are asked to bring lawn chairs.
The following entertainment will be featured:
– 1 to 2 p.m., Dave Dahl square dance demonstration
– 2 to 3 p.m., Full Steam Ahead Band from Pittsburgh
– 3 to 4 p.m. Mid Life Crisis Band from Monroeville
– 4 to 5 p.m., Remnants, a dulcimer group
– 5 to 6 p.m., Mountain View Band from Waterford
– 6 to 7 p.m., Git ‘er Dun Bluegrass Band from Connellsville.
The emcee for the gala event will be John Trout of WYEP radio station 91.3 FM. Trout is the bluegrass DJ from 8 p.m. to midnight every Sunday.
Food and beverages will be available from a variety of vendors.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the VFW Post 47 on Main Street.
The Uniontown Downtown Business District Authority will sponsor the event.
