Local band Payl to rock Fright Farm
Local rock band Payl will play at 9 p.m. today at Rich’s Farms Fright Farm near Smithfield. Payl recently welcomed new drummer, Danny Lacy. A Delaware native, Lacy is a long-time friend of Sean “Slack” Lackner, lead guitarist for Payl.
Lacy recently relocated to the Hopwood area with his finance, Jackie Courtney.
Lacy is the final piece of the puzzle for the five-piece groove metal band.
Lacy has been drumming for more than 15 years, according to Sean “Slack” Lackner of Hopwood, the band’s lead guitarist.
“He (Danny Lacy) is phenomenal, not only as our drummer, but a phenomenal person as well,” Lackner said.
“We have grown up playing music together, and it feels great to be back playing with Danny,” Lackner added.
Tiffany Cellurale of Hopwood sings and plays percussion for the band.
Terry Kimmel is the guitarist and Alex Haines plays the bass.
