Car, truck show slated in Masontown
MASONTOWN – The Masontown Volunteer Fire Department will hold its seventh annual car and truck show on Sunday, May 6. Registration will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There is a registration fee for each vehicle that will be entered in the show.
The first 150 to register will receive a dash plaque and a large goodie bag.
Tickets also will be given out for a chance to win door prizes.
This will be a judged show.
The vehicles will be judged on the following: paint/body, interior, engine compartment, chrome, wheels/tires and trunk (which will also include truck beds, hatches, rumble seats or anything that can be considered as a trunk area.)
Awards designed by Final Score Trophy will be presented at about 5 p.m.
A non-judged class will be added to this year’s show.
This class will be for those who are not interested in trophies, do not want to compete and enjoy the atmosphere of a car cruise.
For a fee, participants will receive a dash plaque, a door prize ticket and goodie bag.
This option has all the perks of the car show but allows participants to leave and come back.
There will be food available at reasonable prices.
The event also will offer one of the largest Chinese auctions in the area.
There will be a variety of activities for kids starting with goodie bags for the first 35 registered and door prizes.
A coloring contest, a model car contest and temporary tattooing will be offered for children during the event.
Proceeds raised at this event will benefit the Masontown Volunteer Fire Department.
