Tech trouble

Lois Winslow called to ask why her news didn’t make it into the column. Lois had e-mailed her news item, but Ruthie never got it.

Ruthie had checked her Verizon Web mail for the first couple of weeks after she changed to DSL, but there was no mail in that box, so she assumed all Verizon e-mail was going into Outlook Express. While trying to solve this puzzle, Ruthie found that some of the news was going to her spam (junk mail) file at her verizon.net Web site e-mail box, but not making it into her regular Outlook Express e-mail. Along with Lois’ news item, she found several other news items. She knows that she has to check the Verizon Web site for her news items.

Apologies go to Lois, the Perry Volunteer Fire department and Perry Area Baseball because Ruthie’s server thought their mail was junk mail.

Please be reminded that Ruthie is working outside the home and is often out of the house by 7 a.m. Wednesday mornings. News phoned in or e-mailed after Tuesday at 9 p.m. will not make it into the column.
