Geyer to present musical
SCOTTDALE – The Geyer Performing Arts Center of Scottdale has announced the leading characters in its next musical comedy, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.” The show is slated for performances on April 12-15. In the role of the clever Roman slave, Pseudolus, is Toby Maykuth, a teacher in the Albert Gallatin School District and resident of Masontown. Senex, an old rich man, will be portrayed by Frank Novotney of Uniontown. His wife, Domina, will be played by Nancy Kalasky, also of Uniontown, and a teacher in the Albert Gallatin School District. Their lovesick son, Hero, will be Brett Clark, a sophomore at Albert Gallatin High School. Hysterium, the hyper slave to Senex and Domina, will be played by Mark Fox of Scottdale. Erronius, an old man who is searching for his long lost children, will be portrayed by David Fox of Uniontown. Marcus Lycus, a slave dealer, will be played by Ron Nehls of Uniontown. Douglas Cook from Scottdale will play the Roman warrior, Miles Gloriosus. In the roles of courtesans will be Annie Brady of Greensburg and Patty Gulino of Uniontown.
