Halftime

Kelly Rates

McClellandtown

On Feb. 17 at 6:30 p.m., my YMCA team played at West Virginia at halftime.

The people on the team were me, Courtney H. Jessica W. Ally R. Courtney K, Katy R. Kaley R, Morgan W. Courtney H, and Egreta S.

Those are the people that played at halftime. Before we played, they said our names and they also said our names when we made a basket.

I made two baskets. Some of us were scared ’cause there was a lot of people and some were not scared. I wasn’t scared because I played musical chairs there at halftime before. We all had fun, but I hope we play at halftime again.

Dinosaurs

James Smith

Smithfield

Dinosaurs were living 65 million years. Ago. My favorite is the velocirapter. It jumps on its prey and bites its neck. My other favorite is the T Rex. It picks up its prey with its powerful jaws and shakes it and breaks every bone in its body.

Winter blues

Brianna Callahan

Uniontown

Winter gives me the blues in many different ways. In winter it’s too cold to go shopping. They cancel school. That takes time off my education. In winter it gets too cold for my comfort. I hate feeling cold, all the time. I eat hot soup to cure some of my winter blues. The snow on the ground gets your pants all wet and cold. Don’t you just hate that feeling? That’s what gives me the winter blues.
